Debriefings are generally conducted in groups with up to 20 individuals, although individual debriefings are sometimes conducted as well.
The purpose of debriefings are to help people understand the traumatic stress responses they are having and to help deal with the impact of the event. By participating in a group debriefing, people can help themselves and other participants.
Dr. Carlock has special training and expertise in traumatic stress and in
conducting debriefings for those who have been closely involved with a traumatic
incident. Most recently Dr. Carlock has conducted debriefings in both Dayton and
New York City following the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.
A Coach is a highly trained partner who can help you learn how to invigorate your life, sustain your resilience, create a future vision, and keep redesigning what you are doing in an ever-changing world. Coaching requires co-active learning and focuses on the present and the future.
Setting For Coaching
In order to develop creative conversations, Coaches often work with clients in human environments such as:
retreat settings restaurants hiking in nature [forests, beaches, lakes]
Coaching can be conducted in an individual or group context.
What is the Coaching Process?
First Step. We first work to form a strong Coaching Alliance, the container of the process within which significant conversations can take place.
Second Step. Identify coachable issues which are urgent in the present and are seeking a future. A variety of assessment tools may be used in this upbeat process.
Third Step. In this step we begin to ask searching questions to help you discern your purpose, passion, vision, and core values of the next few years. We also work to identify internal and external resources.
Fourth Step Create new scenarios, stepping stones into the future.
Fifth Step Plan and rehearse.
Sixth Step Follow-up and networking.
